Meteoria alternatives: 5 GEO tools in 2026

Five Meteoria alternatives, their profiles, limitations and updated public pricing: choose according to tracking frequency, depth and target markets.

  • SEO

The main Meteoria alternatives examined here are hitak, Qwairy, Otterly.ai, Peec AI and Cockpyt AI. The choice depends on what you measure: daily changes across a large prompt portfolio, competitive benchmarking, international coverage or a detailed diagnosis of AI answers. This comparison is published by hitak and includes our own platform, which is launching; it is not an independent ranking and there is no universal winner.

Meteoria is a pragmatic French GEO solution: it tracks brand mentions, position, sentiment, sources and competitors. Looking for an alternative does not question its usefulness. Comparison becomes legitimate when requirements change: more markets, less setup, broader action features or deeper measurement. GEO here means visibility in generative answers, complementing traditional search optimisation.

The issue is becoming tangible: according to the Microsoft AI Economy Institute, estimated AI-tool use among France’s working-age population rose from 40.9% in the first half of 2025 to 44.0% in the second half. France ranks fifth in this index. This is an estimate based on adjusted telemetry, not a measurement of all French people or their purchases.

What does Meteoria offer in 2026?

Meteoria queries AI engines daily with prompts tailored to products, personas, sectors and geographies. Its analyses cover brand presence or absence, relative position, associated sentiment, sources, competitive gaps and AI-related content or traffic. The vendor highlights Google Analytics and Looker Studio; check integrations actually included rather than assuming every connection mentioned in an older offer remains available.

Public pricing checked on 16 September 2026 lists Starter at €75/month for 25 daily prompts and three engines selected from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Grok, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot. Pro offers 100 prompts for €175/month; Advanced offers 300 for €420/month. Check credits and exact scope in the terms. The platform suits quick deployment and frequent monitoring of a large portfolio, but an overall rate alone does not answer: how is the brand presented for this specific intent?

Quick comparison: use case, cadence, strengths and price

  • Meteoria — French teams; daily tracking; sources, sentiment, competition and connection to traffic; entry €75/month
  • hitak — deeper diagnosis; repeated observations per point and measurement cycles; evidence and prioritised recommendations, without demonstrated causal attribution; launching, with indicative website pricing
  • Qwairy — multiple markets; daily, weekly or monthly; coverage and production tools; entry €79/month or €790 annually.
  • Otterly.ai — freelancers and small teams; daily; simplicity, citations and audits; $29/month for 15 prompts
  • Peec AI — marketing teams; daily; visibility, position, sentiment and benchmarking; $95/month for 50 prompts
  • Cockpyt AI — small French businesses; weekly with on-demand scans; simple onboarding, competition and audits; €29 excluding VAT per month on annual billing for Solo
  • Public prices are not converted between currencies; taxes, commitments, options and quotas can change actual cost.

hitak: measure a state rather than a snapshot

Best suited to organisations seeking an explicit diagnosis, inspectable evidence and prioritised recommendations. hitak, the publisher of this comparison, is launching: its positioning is not that of an already available daily tracker. The tracked brand is the subscription unit. Indicative amounts are €199 for the first tracked brand, then €179 per brand for brands 2 to 10, €159 per brand for brands 11 to 25 and €139 per brand from brand 26 onwards. Each marginal tier applies only to the brands it contains: these are not four flat subscription plan prices. Amounts and commercial terms, including the billing interval, will be confirmed before any subscription.

The central difference is methodological. Hundreds of prompts tracked daily can reveal an overall trend or an aggregate presence share. Yet an isolated answer remains variable: a brand may appear, disappear or be described differently without an identifiable change in its environment. The preprint by Schulte, Bleeker and Kaufmann, submitted on 8 April 2026, studies variation across runs, wording and measurement times. It encourages treating visibility as a distribution rather than a single point.

hitak therefore prioritises repeated observations to inspect a fine-grained state: audience profile, intent and question type. The stated principle is roughly fifteen repetitions per measurement point. This is neither a universal significance threshold nor a precision guarantee for every engine. Interpretation depends on the corpus, observed dispersion and protocol. Frequency remains useful; it simply does not replace depth when examining a specific intent.

Measuring something unstable more often does not make it truer.

The intended workflow connects measurement, analysis and recommendation. Recommendations should link to observations and account, in subsequent cycles, for documented actions and earlier advice rather than mechanically reissue the same plan. This follow-up aims at evolving recommendations, not demonstrated causal attribution. A change observed after an action is not enough to prove that the action caused it.

Third-party engines remain outside hitak’s control. Levers can be prioritised, but no quantified increase, guaranteed citation or result deadline is promised. Transparency also means distinguishing findings, explanatory hypotheses and features actually available. Receive the launch announcement through the newsletter, without reserving early access.

Qwairy: international coverage and a broader workspace

Best suited to multi-market brands and agencies combining monitoring, research and production. Qwairy advertises more than ten engines, over 240 countries and over 45 languages, with daily, weekly or monthly tracking. These vendor-stated scopes should be checked against the models, countries and collection methods actually selected in your contract.

As of 16 September 2026, Starter is listed at €79/month or €790 billed annually; the website shows the annual option as a rounded €65/month equivalent. It includes up to 100 prompts, 1,300 credits, one workspace, Content Studio and an MCP server. Growth is €199/month with five workspaces; Business is €449/month with twenty. API, Looker Studio, crawler analysis and fact-checking features depend on the plan and should not be assumed to be included everywhere.

This is a coherent choice when coverage and multi-client orchestration matter more than a minimal scope. Still check credits consumed by each cadence and engine, differences between user-interface and API collection, and export coverage. Qwairy is a French company, but its privacy policy describes subprocessors and international transfers: this does not justify claiming that all data remains exclusively in Europe.

Otterly.ai: get started quickly on a modest budget

Best suited to freelancers, small teams and consultants seeking initial tracking without extensive setup. Lite starts at $29/month for 15 prompts tracked daily. Standard is listed at $189 for 100 prompts and Premium at $489 for 400. The vendor advertises a 15% annual discount; compare the billed amount, currency and taxes rather than a displayed monthly price alone.

Four engines are included: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are offered as add-ons, so the entry price may not cover your full intended scope. The tool combines brand tracking, cited domains and links, prompt research, GEO audits and recommendations. It suits quick time-to-value and citation monitoring; extensive international coverage requires checking the options.

Peec AI: a readable competitive benchmark

Best suited to SEO, content and marketing teams visualising gaps between brands. Peec AI tracks visibility, position, sentiment and sources. Starter is listed at $95/month for 50 prompts, three selected engines, one project and unlimited users with daily tracking. Pro lists $245 for 150 prompts and Advanced $495 for 350; agency offerings use a separate pricing structure.

The benchmark helps identify questions where competitors appear while your brand is absent, and the sources accompanying those answers. This is useful for prioritising investigation. A presence gap alone does not explain why a competitor is cited. Check included projects and additional-engine costs before splitting a portfolio across clients or markets.

Cockpyt AI: weekly tracking for small French businesses

Best suited to microbusinesses, SMEs, freelancers and consultants seeking an accessible French-language environment. As of 16 September 2026, Solo lists €29 excluding VAT per month, with €348 excluding VAT billed annually, one project, 15 questions, an automatic weekly scan and one on-demand scan per month within the advertised limit of 15 monthly scans. Consultant lists €79 excluding VAT per month on annual billing, three projects, 45 questions and two on-demand scans.

The advertised scope includes ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, brand presence, position and associated links or contacts, competitor tracking, detection of incorrect information and a six-module GEO audit. Its appeal is simple onboarding and an explicitly weekly cadence, not universal coverage. Also verify GA4 integration conditions before treating them as decisive.

Depth or frequency: first define what you measure

  • Overall presence: a large portfolio and frequent tracking can reveal trends
  • Competition: presence share and a daily benchmark illuminate gaps
  • Presentation for a specific intent: repetition and narrative analysis help inspect dispersion
  • Engine-specific sources: examine answers and links separately
  • Action follow-up: compare comparable cycles and document interventions without confusing temporal succession with causality.

Frequency provides a time series; depth better describes a given state when the protocol supports it. This is not a contest between a good and a bad method. A GEO action involves publication, indexing, possible reuse by third parties and potential changes in answers. Daily tracking can detect movement, but does not shorten this chain or guarantee that the brand will be cited.

How should you choose a Meteoria alternative?

Accessible French solution: Meteoria remains coherent for daily tracking and its connection to traffic; Cockpyt reduces cost and scope with weekly tracking. Several countries or many brands: examine Qwairy and its workspaces, then Peec AI’s projects and engines. Limited budget: Otterly.ai and Cockpyt have the lowest public entry prices in this selection, but with different currencies and commitments. Fine-grained diagnosis: hitak prioritises repetition, evidence and explicit hypotheses; account for its launch status.

Meteoria alternatives FAQ

What is the best alternative in 2026?

There is no universal best: Qwairy for international coverage, Otterly.ai for a simple start, Peec AI for benchmarking, Cockpyt for a small French-speaking business and hitak for repeated-diagnosis positioning. Test your own corpus before deciding.

Which alternative is cheapest?

Otterly.ai starts at $29/month; Cockpyt Solo at €29 excluding VAT per month on annual billing. These amounts are not directly equivalent and do not include the same questions, engines, taxes or options.

Are there other French GEO tools?

Yes: Meteoria and Qwairy are French solutions, Cockpyt also targets this market and hitak is a French platform launching. A vendor’s nationality does not guarantee that all data resides in that country.

Should you measure ChatGPT every day?

Daily tracking can detect a trend or break across a large corpus. For a particular question, multiple runs and a stable protocol are more informative than one draw; cadence alone does not eliminate variance.

Does a GEO tool replace SEO?

No. Presence in generative answers complements indexing, rankings, links, technical work and organic traffic. An indexable website and useful content remain necessary; the disciplines complement each other.
